A big thank you to Joan Kinley, our dedicated Education Chair, and Robyn Callahan for hosting an outstanding Education Day and pool party! We had a fantastic turnout, enjoyed engaging sessions, so much delicious food, and left with new knowledge—and some cute new breeches too.

A very special thank you to our wonderful speakers: Dr. Rhodes Murphey, DVM who spoke with us about keeping our horses healthy in the Texas heat (we promise we will have 3 thermometers on us at all times!), Lauren Cook from Santa Cruz Animal Health who not only gave us an informative look into what Santa Cruz has to offer, but sent everyone hone with an amazing goodie bag full of samples! And Katarina of Pure Equestrian for setting up shop and donating 3 $45 gift cards to the event.

Cavaletti Clinic with Sarah Fulton-Smith

Sarah is an FEI rider and trainer that utilizes a variety of cross training techniques to keep horses fit and happy in their work. She enjoys sharing her experience with cavaletti with other dressage riders to freshen up their rides and incorporate cavaletti into their training routine.

Given that this is mid-August this clinic is limited to 6 participants, so we can finish up before noon! We have a covered and fans though so we should stay pretty comfortable.

Cost of clinic is $120 including arena fee.

scholarships

Qualified scholarship applications are now being accepted by the Scholarship Committee. Applications are open August 1-31.

To qualify, the applicant must:

• Be a member in good standing of the Fort Worth Dressage Club

• Only be eligible once every 2 years for a scholarship

• Meet eligibility requirements for volunteer hours

• Volunteers at Shows

• Fundraising

• Facilitating / Procuring educational programs

A maximum of $300 will be awarded for verified volunteer service.
