Board members needed
Our dressage club runs on good people, good ideas, and a healthy willingness to occasionally say, “Sure, I can help with that!” We’re currently looking for enthusiastic members to join our board and help keep the club welcoming, organized, and moving forward.
Whether you love bringing people together, organizing behind the scenes, building community partnerships, or helping steer the club’s direction, there’s a place for you. No need to be a professional committee wrangler, just bring your ideas, your energy, and your love of the dressage community. Come help us make the next year a great one!

Open positions include:
President:
Oversee and coordinate all club activities, ensuring that club paperwork and administrative requirements are handled accurately and on time. Lead monthly club meetings, communicate with other GMOs and officials throughout the region, and ensure that all parts of the club ae working together smoothly.
Treasurer:
Oversee the club's finances, including paying bills, reimbursing members for approved expenses, and managing and paying expenses associated with shows, events, and other club activities. Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records, track income and expenses, and provide financial updates to the board as needed. Help ensure the club's financial responsibilities are handled accurately and on time.
Hospitality Chair:
Looking for our own Martha Stewart, bringing creativity and a welcoming touch to every event! Coordinates decorations and organizes food and refreshments to make our club events festive, memorable, and enjoyable for everyone.
Volunteer Organizer:
Recruits and organizes volunteers for essential positions at our shows and events. Coordinates assignments, tracks volunteer commitments, and ensures every position is filled so our events run smoothly and successfully.
Sponsorship & Advertising:
Coordinates and manages sponsorships, advertising, monetary donations, silent auction items, and gifts-in-kind for our shows and events. Maintains accurate donation records, provides 501(c)(3) donation acknowledgement paperwork as appropriate, and ensures our generous sponsors and donors are properly recognized and thanked for their support.
Volunteers are the heart and soul of FWDC and what allows the club to exist. We need volunteers to put on our schooling and recognized shows, and there is a job for every interest and ability! Check out our Volunteer Positions page for descriptions on what service each role provides.
Remember that in order to be eligible for year end awards, members must have a minimum of 4 volunteer hours from the calendar year.
USDF Volunteer Incentive Program
The Group Member Organization (GMO) Volunteer Incentive Program is a way for current USDF Group Members to earn recognition by volunteering with their GMO(s).Track your volunteer hours using the GMO Volunteer Incentive Program Hour Log linked HERE. Hours earned must include the signature of any GMO or GMO chapter official or board member to verify volunteer hours. GMO/chapter officials are allowed to earn volunteer credit, as long as the volunteer hours earned are not in the context of the position they hold. Once a milestone has been achieved, submit the form to USDF.
